We hear about mindfulness so much it has become a “buzz” word for many. Many things are easy to talk about but harder to practice.  Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is based on a Buddhist practice  of  meditation. Mindfulness theory has been expanded to include not only stress-management but also for treating a variety of illnesses such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, cancer, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, skin and immune disorders.
