Uncontrolled Emotions

Emotions are healthy and we need them to tell us how to behave and to protect us from harm. However, some people may find it difficult to regulate their emotions and may be suffering from emotional dysregulation.

Emotional dysregulation may cause individuals to experience intense emotions more frequently and for longer durations. It may lead to behavioral dysregulation such as non-suicidal self-injurious behavior, suicidal ideation and attempts, excessive substance use, and impulsivity. These behaviors serve to immediately decrease the current level of emotional distress.
We are not here to label you with a diagnosis but instead help you to understand yourself better and how you can live a healthier life.

Depression

You may often say loosely “I am depressed”, however, depression is more than just feeling sad. People with depression may experience a lack of interest and pleasure in daily activities, significant weight loss or gain, insomnia or excessive sleeping, lack of energy, inability to concentrate, feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide.

Depression is the most common mental disorder. Fortunately, depression is treatable.
