Stress Management
The American Psychological Association (2021) defines stress as “the physiological or psychological response to internal or external stressors. Stress involves changes affecting nearly every system of the body, influencing how people feel and behave. For example, it may be manifested by palpitations, sweating, dry mouth, shortness of breath, fidgeting, accelerated speech, augmentation of negative emotions (if already being experienced), and longer duration of stress fatigue”.
We all suffer some stress and anxiety in our lives it is normal and is our body way of motivating us to keep doing the things we love and working towards our goals. Stress may affect us in many forms such as, emotional, mental, or physical. Chronic stress can cause maladaptive behaviors and may inhibit you from completing your daily task and important goals. Anxiety

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) teaches you to recognize maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that lead to troublesome feelings. We then work with you on changing your thought patterns thus leading to behavioral changes.
Exposure therapy focuses on dealing with the fears behind the anxiety disorder. It helps you engage with activities or situations you may have been avoiding. Combining different relaxation and mindful techniques in our treatment may help you decrease the rate of your anxiety.
